This policy explains what information Chaturmind (“we”, “us”) collects when you use chaturmind.com and the Chaturmind Android app, how we use it, and the choices you have. The app shows the same website, so this policy covers both.

Information we collect

No account needed. All content is free to read without signing up. We don’t ask for your name, email address or password.
Learning progress. Your browser stores a random anonymous identifier. We use it to remember which lessons you’ve completed. It isn’t linked to your name or email.
AI tutor questions. If you use the “Ask AI” tutor, your question and the lesson it relates to are sent to our server and to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate an answer. Please don’t include personal information in your questions.
Usage and technical data. Like most websites, our hosting providers (Vercel and Render) process technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, to deliver the site, measure performance and keep it secure.
Visit statistics. We record anonymous page views to understand how people find and use Chaturmind: the page, the anonymous identifier, how you arrived (for example a search engine, Instagram or a campaign link), your approximate country and city (derived from your IP address, which we don’t store), and your device type, browser and operating system. We use these figures only in aggregate, and delete individual page views after about 13 months.
Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address in order to reply.

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps Chaturmind free. Ads and cookies work as follows:

We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run Chaturmind: hosting (Vercel, Render), database hosting (MongoDB Atlas), advertising (Google AdSense) and AI answers (OpenAI). We may also share it when the law requires us to.

Data retention

Progress records tied to the anonymous identifier are kept while the service is active. You can remove the link to them at any time by clearing your browser storage. Server logs are kept only as long as our hosting providers need them for operations and security.

Children

Chaturmind is intended for learners aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email us at the address below.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
